We are getting super excited with only 3 sleeps until we chat ‘Nature’ themed picture books with the amazing Anna Walker!
Anna Walker one of Australia’s most beloved picture book creators. She has published 25 beautiful books in a career spanning over 20 years. Her imagery is inspired by tiny details in the world around her.
Anna studied graphic design and Swinburne University and started her own business. Gradually the majority of her work became illustration based and picture book illustration became the foundation of her business. She devotes one year to each picture book , giving her work space and time.
“I’ve always believed in the picture book as an art form,” she said. “It’s important to me that every aspect is crafted to be the best it can be.”
Anna’s beautiful book ‘Florette’ has been shortlisted for a 2018 Children’s Book Council Award in the ‘Picture Book of the Year’ category. Have a look at the gorgeous book trailer created for Florette.
