Woohoo!!! Our June chat is nearly here! We are looking forward to featuring picture books that celebrate ‘Bravery and Courage’. This month we will be joined by the wonderful Sue Whiting!

Sue Whiting developed her passion for children’s literature when she was a primary school teacher.

In 2005 she left her career as a teacher to pursue a new one in publishing. Sue was the  Publishing Manager and Senior Commissioning Editor at Walker Books Australia until 2016. She has been super busy ever since as an author, speaker, freelance editor, writing coach, mentor and tutor for The Australian Writers’ Centre. Sue loves sharing her passion for stories, reading and writing with people of all ages.

Sue has written numerous books in a variety of genres: fiction and nonfiction, picture books through to YA. Her latest picture book ‘Beware the Deep Dark Forest’, illustrated by Annie White was shortlisted as a ‘CBCA 2019 Noteable book’ in the Early Childhood category.
