Hello #picbookbc friends, our bugtastic chat is almost upon us! This week we’re joined by chat regular and debut picture book author Liz Ledden as we celebrate Bugs in Picture Books!
Liz Ledden is known for many things. She’s one third of One More Page, a #picbookbc chat regular, travel writing for international magazines and now most recently for writing her debut picture book, Tulip and Brutus!
Her debut picture book TULIP AND BRUTUS with illustrations by Andrew Plant was released with Ford Street Publishing in October 2019. It’s about friendship, differences, teamwork … and bugs! She has another picture book due out in 2020 with Larrikin House. We can’t wait to see what she write next!
Liz also co-hosts kids’ book podcast One More Page with friends, authors and book lovers, Kate Simpson and Nat Amoore, where she interviews kids’ book industry professionals, reviews the latest books and lapses into the occasional laughing fit.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the One More Page podcast, it’s an adventure from start to finish filled with laughter and it’s the most fun you’ll have while staying up to date with the latest releases and book industry news!
And now it’s time for the chat questions for our Bug themed #picbookbc chat!
Q1 What is your favourite bug themed picture book? Share a photo!
Q2 What makes a bug book so interesting?
Q3 Do you prefer cute bug books or creepy crawly ones? Why?
Q4 The Very Hungry Caterpillar is no doubt one of the most iconic bug characters in a picture book. Why do you think this bug book is so loved and do you have any memories of reading/ sharing this book?
Plus as always there will be plenty of time at the end to ask our bugtastic guest author Liz Ledden lots of questions! Woohoo!
We look forward to partying ‘picture book’ style with all our #Picbookbc friends on Thursday 7th Novemeber at 8pm AEST for another #Picbookbc Twitter chat! Remember to keep Daylight Savings in mind!
If you haven’t joined one of our chats before and wondering how it works head on over to our Welcome to the #picbookbc Twitter chat post! We’d love to have you!
