SEPTEMBER #PICBOOKBC QUESTIONS

Horray! It is nearly time for another picture book party! This month we are chatting about ‘grief and loss’ in picture books and will be joined by the wonderful Kaye Baillie . We will also be celebrating Kaye’s recent picture book ‘Mizuto and the Wind’ which is a story about the forces of nature, grief, family and the importance of hope. It is beautifully illustrated by Luisa Gioffre-Suzuki.

Here are the chat questions!

Q1. What are your favourite picture books with themes of grief and loss? Share pics #picbookbc

Q2. Why is it important for bookshelves to include picture books with sad themes? #picbookbc

Q3. Losing a beloved pet can be very difficult for the whole family. Share a favourite picture book that helps readers grieve the death of a family pet #picbookbc

Q4. Share a book that you would gift to someone who is going through a difficult time #picbookbc

Plus there will be plenty of time to to ask Kaye (@kayebaillie ) your questions for the last 20 minutes of the chat!

We look forward to you joining us for our September picture book celebration! We will be ready to roll on Thursday at 8pm AEST!

If you haven’t joined one of the chats before and wondering how it works head on over to our Welcome to the #picbookbc Twitter chat post!
